Fashion show of the 2013/14 class final projects

This year during the 27 Final Projects Fashion Show Class of 2013/2014 the designers presented 8 looks with which demonstrated its high level of creativity and professionalism. In this edition we could count with the collaboration of Danielle de Bellefeuille polyvalent in all formats of the art show, a pioneer in video art, and uniquely using new technologies. Invited as a resident artist at the prestigious Society of Technological Arts Montréal, Danielle de Bellefeuille made ​​this year his first collaboration with LCI Barcelona. According to Danielle "Machines do not dominate us, do not threaten us, we are responsible for the borders. But I've noticed that there is a struggle between poetry and technology."

AWARDS FOR BEST COLLECTIONS

The first prizes were for the collection "14/03/1931" by Elisenda Oms, and to the collection "FT Under 20" by Talia Baker who got a scholarship for Master in Barcelona FDModa-LCI and their collection will travel to Vancouver to the Fashion Week. Ms. Irene Rigau, Councillor d'Ensenyament and Mr. Jacques Marchand, General President of LCI Education, handed over the first prizes.

Ms. Christine Laberge, Consul of Canada, presented the Second Prize to Elisabet Carlota for the collection "Why Knot?" Consisting of a Scholarship for a Postgraduate course in FDModa - LCI Barcelona.

The collection of Elisabet Carlota also will travel to the Valencia Fashion Week thanks to Blog a Porter; Rosa Rodríguez presented the award.

The third prize went to Kevin Levices for his collection "Nostalgia" consisting of a Scholarship to do a Specialization course in FDModa-LCI. Mr. Miquel Rodríguez, Director of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, presented the Third Prize.

Creativity, innovation, vanguard, coherence of the collection, selection of materials, commercial viability, color matching and the treatment of the materials, were the premisses of the jury when selecting the best collections.

Mr. Gabriel Torres (Project Director)

And the Fashion Design Tutors: Mr Manuel Bolaño, Ms. Montse Liarte, Mr. Zazo & Brull, Ms. Montse Perez and Ms. Estefania Feu.

Pattern Making Tutors: Ms Susanna Canalda, Mrs. Maria Costa and Mr. Guillaume Sanchez.

And Communication Tutor: Mr. Daniel Cantó.

PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATES

Coinciding with the fashion show, we held the presentation of the Certificates of students class of 2013/2014. The presidency was formed by:

Ms. Silvia Viudas - General Director of the School

Mr. Eduard Prats - Honorary President of the School

Ms. Mercedes Freixas - Honorary President of the School

Ms. Rosa Oriol - Co-Founder and Creative Director of Tous

Ms. Silvia Anton - Academic Director of Bachelor Education in Design adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)

Ms. Silvia Arrufat - Academic Director of Postgraduate and Specialization Programs

Ms. Rosa Oriol - Co-Founder and Creative Director of Tous offered a presentation entitled "Career TOUS brand."

Afterwards, we presented diferent awards. The selection was made by a jury consisting of the directors of the Master programs and school representatives:

  • Innovation Award (1,500€): “Transmutación Exodérmica”, Master in Fashion Styling.

  • "Boost the project of our students" (500€): “Africa with Love”, Master in Fashion Design.

  • Best Master’s Thesis: "Greenpiece by Greenpeace", Master in Management of Fashion Business

  • Best Master’s Thesis: “Aguaclara” Master of Marketing, Communication and Event Fashion

  • Best Master’s Thesis: “Transmutación Exodérmica”, Master in Fashion Styling

  • Best Master’s Thesis: "Incredible India", Master in Fashion Design

  • Best Master’s Thesis: "Folding", Master Accessories & Fashion Accessories

Prizes consisting of a Scholarship for a summer course in FDModa - LCI Barcelona, ​​for the best thesis in each specialty of the Master programs.

The selection was made by the director of each Master program.

In this first edition, the thesis participants corresponded to those assessed among July 2013 and February/March 2014.
